Just another shadow
Looking ahead I saw the light
Immediately upon recognizing the familiar night
The truth went south in a drunken blight

Last I saw this old shadow, it almost screamed

Forced into the light until it almost died
Then rose one last time, on its last breath lied
Watching it scurry into the farthest room
Left all alone to devise its own doom
This sword of light keeps its rose in bloom
Showing each shadow its very own gloom
With each step taken a little further it goes
One day emulating this rose I suppose
Shadows of life on thorns that were hung
On innocent shoulders like beads that were strung
From here to eternity, and back a few times
Shadows being released in enlightening rhymes
Do not fear for me, this shadow's not mine
Shadows all clearing away before it's my time
To walk free in Grace with a knowing smile on my face
My own shadows finally set free
I will take to flight without having to fight
Standing on this rock that's well under me
Go forth once more with my personal war
From our confusion we all find our light
Take a little more blood from this night, I implore
I'll tell you once more, the shadows know of your fright
